I am a big fan of Kendrick Lamar, in fact he happens to be one of my favourite rappers of all time. Because of that I listen to his old songs from time to time.
Recently I was enjoying the tunes of his song Cartoons and Cereal. In it he features another artist with a great verse, by the stage name “Gunplay”.
In that verse there were a couple lines that stuck out to me.
The first one was; “if you do what you always done, you’ll get what you always got you dumb buffoon”
Pretty self explanatory right?
The second line that stuck out to me was; “dirty money comes with lots of stains, road to riches comes with lots of lanes”
The reason those captured my attention in a different way was because of the inherent nature of its application to all walks of life.
While the name stage name can simultaneously suggest a world of violence and narrow listeners’ perception, his lyrical craftsmanship can inspire a broader audience.
Often times I hear a lot of people complain about not making money (or enough of it) with the job(s) they currently have. I empathize with them because sure, there is a system designed to keep people subjugated in the work force. On the flipside there is a system out there that supports innovation and initiative.
However!! I hear the same people with these complaints besmirch other legal and ethical ways to make money online. Especially when it sounds so simple in perpetuity.
It is usually met with skeptical responses like “it’s a scam”. Or the famous one “if it was so easy why isn’t everyone doing it?”. Here’s why that question answers itself;
By “everyone” you mean everyone you know, and yes it is so easy but all you have to do is take action!
I briefly mentioned in my article about business ownership on the importance of technology and innovation to our survival. The rationale backing this statement comes from our ability to collaborate as a species.
In our world today, the presence of the internet has provided an infinite amount of collaborative opportunities for individuals through all walks of life. This in return has led to some of the biggest and fastest changes we’ve seen through the ages.
Now I say all that to say this.
The reasons making money online has never been easier are;
The digital Age — We are currently on the cusp of full on automation. With the exponential growth of online usage, a lot of companies always need help with a portion of their growth, by transitioning to digital advertising.
One big reason companies are willing to incentivize individuals advertising for them is because, it requires little effort on their part. This goes back to the traditional “word of mouth” advertising model but on a fairly larger scale.
This is the Genesis of Social-Capitalism — Because we live in the age of innovation, there are always new ideas, products, initiatives, services and other variations of sorts.
Since capitalism breeds competition and innovation, we’re at a crossroads now where corporate interests align with digital social interests.
Tech Disruption — The disruptive trend has dramatically increased the output of competing products in different sectors. The great part about this is the creation of opportunity for affiliate marketers.
Why? because the internet is a great advertising tool for global scaling. Therefore all you need is a computer with internet connection and you can be making money from anywhere in there world just from advertising.
Yea it is so simple everyone can do it.
It requires entry level skill — The fact is, anyone with the ability to use a computer and navigate the internet has enough skill to become an affiliate marketer. The only real work comes in the ability to take action.
Make no mistake about it, affiliate marketing is not the only way to make money online. But it is one of the most consistent ways to do it.

I’m not saying Affiliate marketing will get you super rich, although it can. What I am saying is; if it is something you have never done before and you are not making enough money or any money online, affiliate marketing is a good place to start.
The road to riches comes with lots of lanes. This is one of them.
